Juan Carlos Gonzales - NEW!

Juan Carlos

We are happy about Juan Carlos Gonzales being a part of the Festival Salsa Cubana in 2012. A high class dancer and teacher! During his lessons he inspires his students with his enthusiasm and likable personality paired with an according professionality and his high class dancing abilities that make his lessons an experience!

Juan Carlos was born and raised in Santiago de Cuba. Since his childhood dancing affected his life. His passion is dancing!

Being 10 years old, he already learned the Dancas populares and the traditional Afrocuban folk dances. Bein 18 he already was a professional dancer at Cojunto Folklórico Cutumba and the Ballet Folklórico de Oriente. Six years later, he achieved, what all Cuban dancers dream of: he became a professional dancer at the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional in Havanna. Several years he travelled around Europe and Asia together with this highly acclaimed dance company and its more than 95 members. His big talent, his verve for dancing combined with his passion and kreativity make him an extraordinary and unique performer and instructor.

Margaret Estévez Mustelier - NEW!

Margaret Estévez Mustelier graduated the "Escuela Nacional del Arte" (ENA), a school for Modern Dance and Folklore in Havanna, Cuba. Her following dance education was given by the the famous "Instituto Superior de Arte" in Havanna, where she works as an instructor today. At the annual world meeting of salsa dancers and dance academies "Baila en Cuba" in Havanna, she works as an instructor since the beginning of 2006. Her spectrum of dancing ranges from Afrocuban Folklore to Bailes Populares, Danzon & Son to Salsa Cubana and the newest rhythms like Reggaeton. We are glad about winning her as instructor for this years Festival Salsa Cubana in Munich! 

Alejandro Reed Penn

Alejandro Reed Penn from the Dominican Republic imbibed the traditional dances of his country from his infancy.

His high class teaching of Bachata and Merengue is smooth, flexible and technically perfect without loosing contact to his students. High quality education and great fun is guaranteed!

Eliecer Araujo Reyes

During the "Festival Salsa Cubana" in 2011 Eliecer had been invited as an instructor for the first time and entered the hearts of the participants in a blink of an eye. 

Eliecer Araujo Reyes started his dancing career already during his childhood. His professional training in classical and contemporary dance took part in famous and well-respected institutions like the Grupo folclorico natinal de Cuba, the cuban TV-Ballet, the Institutio superior de Arte (ISA) as well as the the Institute of Contemporary Dance that was founded by Tony Menendez Narciso Medina! During many events he has been awarded in the area of afrocuban music and dances e.g. during Folk Habana in 1996 and Cubadisco (1998, 1999, 2000), just to mention a  few. 

Elicer´s skills as instructor are demanded all over the world and therefore he has already been working in a lot of cities in Mexico, Spain, Russia, France, Denmark, Sweden , England and Germany.

Today Elicer lives in Barcelona, where he works for the "Buena Vista" dance school as instructor for Salsa and afrocuban dances.

Jetzenia Ligonde Chacón

Jetzenia Ligonde

Jetzenia was born and raised in Ciego de Avila, Cuba. Her comprehensive education in music and dancing make her a first class instructor. After a fundamental education Ciego de Avila (Escuela provincal de Arte), she changed to the Escuela professional de Arte in Villa Clara, where she graduated as dancer and instructor for Modern Dance and Folklore. After that, she went to the University and mad her Diploma at the Instituto superior de Aret in Havanna, Cuba. After her debut at the Festival Salsa Cubana 2011, she entered the hearts of many students with her great style of teaching. We are glad, being able to win her as an instructor again!

Being a part of the Festival in 2010 for the first time and our personal recommendation: Chiqui Dixon and Kristina! We invited them again this year. For a good reason: As instructors for Afrocuban Dances and Rumba Cubana these two are unbeatable. No way of delivering thes dancees in a more authentic and lively way!

Born Cuban Chiqui is an extraordinary dancer and instructor. Very early, by the end of the 1970ties, he built the fundamentals of his dancing career at the Conjunto Folklorico National de Cuba, where, very rapidly, he became one of the company's first solo dancers. 

Since 1992 he lives in Sweden and since a year later he teaches the Cuban Bailes Folkloricos and Afrocuban Dances professionally.

Kristina studied Cuban and Afrocuban Dances at the ENA (Escuela National de Arte) in Havanna, Cuba. Very intensivly she studied the religious dances of the Bantu and Yoruba. During her time in Cuba, she had been a student and dancer at the Conjunto Folklorico National de Cuba, as well. Together with Chiqui she works as an artist and dancer. 

Chiqui and Kristina are known and wanted as guest instructors allover Europe's festivals and workshops!

Had been with us for the first time at the Festiva Salsa Cubana in 2010: Fabrizio Miccichè! After his exquisite classes during this and the following festivals and workshops, the Festival Salsa Cubana in 2012 can't do without him!

Fabrizio was born 1976 in Palermo and moved to the Netherlands in 2000. Being 25 he came in touch with Salsa for the first time. This encounter inflamed a passion, which never let him loose. He danced all different Salsa styles but Salsa Cubana is his passion. He dedicated himself in particular to Rumba Cubana and the Afrocuban dances, which he adopted by the means of stays in Cuba and the work with different Cuban instructors.

Yorgenis "Yoyo" Danger

Yorgenis "Yoyo" Danger

Yoyo was born and raised in Cuba, where he passed the the tough education of the ISA (Instituto Superior de Arte). Together with the Compania de Danza Folclorica de Cienfuegos he worked as choreographer and pricipal dancer. During the annual world meeting of Cuban Salsa dancers "Baila en Cuba" in Havanna, he is an integral part of the instructor team! Next to his expressiveness in dancing Yoyo is characterised by a patient and likable way of teaching. Due to a lot of classes and seminars throughout Europe, especially in Germany, he comes up with a lot of experience in teaching!

Beamiris Rodriguez

Beamiris Rodriguez

 

Since 2008 Bea Rodriguez is a recurring instructor at the Festival Salsa Cubana in Munich. With her expertise in dancing and her very pleasent way of teaching she manages to inspire and motiveate the participants over and over again. Bea was born in Havanna and studied at the "Escuela de Arte Leonardo Luberta",  on the Isla de la Juventud, Cuba. She also went to the "Move dance academy" in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, both as instructor and student. Between 1997 and 2006 Bea worked as professional dancer and instructor and choreographer in Germany (not only CIRCULO). 

Bea´s way of dancing and her movents are characterized by a very high flexibility. Her ability to transport passion and joy to her students combined with her sunny character and charisma make her a very popular instructor.

 

 

Mike Agbevenou

Mike Agbevenou

Since many years Mike is a member of the CIRCULO staff and one of the main instructors for Salsa Cubana, Rumba Cubana and manstyling. Moreover CIRCULO´s salsa parties would be naked without DJ MIke! In Togo, Mike´s home country,  Zouk and related dances are very popular since quite a while. Therefore,  it´s self-evident that Mike will hold Zouk lessons at the Festival Salsa Cubana.

 

 

Janine Auer

Janine

Janine, too, is an instructor at CIRCULO. She dedicated herself to teaching Salsa cubana, Ladystyling as well as Isolation & Bodymoves. And together with Mike: Rumba Cubana and Zouk. She already made a lot of fans with her friendly way of teaching and during the festival she will make a lot more, for sure!

Jeliel Dissou

Jeliel Dissou

Jeliel became a part of the CIRCULO staff in 2007. Throughout Munich´s dance community he is known as one of the best dancers. Jeliel works as for CIRCULO as an instructor for Salsa Cubana from beginner level to masterclass. Moreover, Reggaeton, Orishas Powerton and Salsa Hip Hop.
